Job Summary
The Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist role at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust offers a unique opportunity to provide expert clinical leadership across acute emergencies, transplantation, and chronic disease management for children and families across the East Midlands.
Responsibilities
* Deliver expert clinical care to children with kidney disease, managing both acute emergencies and long‑term conditions such as dialysis and transplantation.
* Lead inpatient and outpatient services, participate in the on‑call rota, and provide specialist advice across the EMEESY network.
* Teach and supervise junior staff, contribute to clinical governance, audit and research, and work closely within a multidisciplinary team to drive service development.

* Consultant level clinical expertise in paediatric nephrology.
* Strong communication, leadership and collaborative skills.
* Commitment to high standards of patient care, continuous professional development, and innovation in service delivery.
* Experience in teaching, audit and multidisciplinary teamwork.
