Lettings Coordinator – 12 month fixed term contract – Ferndown, BH22 9JG, United Kingdom.
We have a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity to join the Dorset Lettings team as a Coordinator. You’ll be committed to delivering a first-class service, putting customers at the heart of all we do. The role involves letting homes to new and existing customers, performing verification checks, taking payments for rent in advance, and managing the letting process from start to finish through to key handover. You will work with maintenance colleagues and other housing colleagues to ensure all empty and new build properties are let as quickly as possible. You’ll communicate with local authorities and third party agencies, and with internal and external colleagues as needed.
You will be out and about, so access to a vehicle and a full UK driving licence is a must. You can base yourself from home or the office, with team meetings at our Wareham office once a month.
Responsibilities
* Let properties to new and existing customers.
* Perform verification checks and take payments (rent in advance, etc.).
* Manage the letting process end to end until the customer receives their keys.
* Coordinate with maintenance, housing colleagues, local authorities, and third party agencies.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure lettings are processed efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience
* Ideally some housing or lettings experience.
* Confident user of IT; able to work in a busy environment with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Proactive, organised, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities.
