At Steer Automotive Group, we are united by a commitment to excellence in every repair, innovation in every process, and integrity in every interaction. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our dedicated team in Tamworth.
Your Role:
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you’ll play a key part in ensuring damaged vehicles are returned to their best condition with efficiency, accuracy, and care. Your responsibilities will include:
14. Conducting detailed inspections of damaged vehicles
15. Preparing accurate repair assessments using Audatex or similar estimating systems
16. Communicating effectively with insurers, engineers, and customers
17. Working collaboratively with technicians to ensure timely, authorised, and high-quality repairs
18. Keeping up to date with manufacturer repair methods and industry best practices
What We’re Looking For:
19. Proven experience as a VDA in a busy bodyshop or accident repair centre
20. ATA VDA accreditation (or working towards it) is highly desirable
21. Strong working knowledge of Audatex and current insurance/repair protocols
22. Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
23. A customer-first mindset with a strong commitment to quality and integrity
