Senior Structural Engineer - Liverpool
We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Design team based in Liverpool. The team designs a wide range of building types and site redevelopments across various construction sectors such as education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial, serving both public and private clients.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility available, just let us know when you speak to us.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll support the Civil and Structural Engineering team by producing and checking structural design calculations, preparing and reviewing structural drawings, models, strategy reports, specifications, and schedules.
Your daily tasks will include:
* Coordinating structural engineering design information within the team and with other disciplines such as architecture, landscape architecture, and building services engineering.
* Developing and implementing structural concept design strategies and monitoring progress against sustainability and low carbon targets.
* Visiting sites, conducting surveys and inspections, and representing the team at project meetings with clients and other designers.
* Mentoring junior engineers and technicians as part of our commitment to Continuing Professional Development.
* Assisting in obtaining necessary consents via Building Control and Safety Act processes, supporting project consultations with authorities.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal if:
* You hold professional qualifications such as BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng in Structural or Civil Engineering, or you are a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or a member/associate member of the Institution of Structural or Civil Engineers.
* You have relevant experience with structural steelwork and reinforced concrete design to current standards, applying CDM regulations and UK construction techniques, and have experience working within a multidisciplinary team and attending project meetings with clients and professionals.
* You possess a full driving license for site visits and meetings.
