About the Role - Competitive salary - Performance-based bonus scheme - Permanent position - Full-time hours - Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and pension scheme - Opportunities for professional development and career progression Duties/Responsibilities - Oversee onsite and remote operational control of multiple contracts, focusing on safety, quality, cost control, performance, and customer service - Manage changes within the scope of contracts, including Health and Safety, Operational, and Commercial aspects - Day-to-day management of assigned staff and workload, including mentoring and developing subordinate staff - Undertake pre-tender site walkovers and provide technical and operational input to estimators - Attend and chair pre-contract award meetings with clients, engineers, and safety professionals - Produce and review Health, Safety & Environment documentation, quality plans, and works programmes - Organise and plan works to ensure safe and efficient execution, including procurement of plant, equipment, and materials - Prepare, review, and submit plant, labour, and HSE returns - Ensure contracts are correctly resourced and monitor on-site contract activities - Review subcontract offers, documentation, and performance, and oversee contract correspondence About you - Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or equivalent qualification - Significant experience within the geotechnical industry with an in-depth understanding of ground conditions, drilling, ground investigation, and drilling and grouting techniques - Strong knowledge of contract management and geotechnical processes - Excellent written English and communication skills - Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office and database maintenance - Good interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and regional team members - Commercial knowledge and experience with a high level of contractual awareness - Full UK driving licence
