Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: NP19 Contract Type: Full Time Pay: Weekly pay Teaching Personnel are recruiting a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils with ALN/SEN and challenging behaviour in a specialist primary school environment within the NP19 area. This role is suited to someone who is emotionally resilient, calm under pressure and able to work consistently with pupils who require a high level of support. About the Role Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ALN/SEN Support children who may present with challenging behaviour Use consistent behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques Help pupils regulate emotions and remain engaged in learning Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs Work closely with teaching staff and specialist teams Maintain clear boundaries while offering a calm, supportive presence Be proactive in anticipating challenges and supporting pupils throughout the day The Ideal Candidate Experience supporting children with ALN/SEN or challenging behaviour Comfortable working in high-support, fast-paced environments Calm, patient and emotionally resilient Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Proactive, confident and able to use initiative Reliable and consistent in approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Experience may come from schools, care, youth work, residential, or similar settings.
