As part of the Department of Work Based Learning, you will report directly to the Curriculum Team Leader/Curriculum Manager. You will play an active role in the curriculum team, working with key stakeholders such as Curriculum Team Leaders, Curriculum Managers, and Curriculum Lecturers. You will also build good working relationships with other key stakeholders in apprenticeship programmes, such as the Functional Skills Team.

You should be able to adopt a flexible and proactive approach to supporting learners undertaking qualifications in the workplace.

If you have experience in planning, delivering, and assessing apprenticeships in Engineering (Mechatronics) Standard, this is an excellent opportunity to help develop the next generation of engineers. You should have experience supporting the development of up-to-date knowledge, skills, and behaviors aligned with employer needs, helping create a brighter future for learners.

This rewarding role involves coaching, assessing, and supporting apprentices on Engineering courses. You will regularly use e-portfolios and conduct on-site performance reviews and assessments. Using your IT skills, you will maintain accurate records of student progress via tracking systems and e-portfolios.

You should be able to build relationships, manage a caseload of apprentices, and communicate effectively with diverse individuals and organizations. A confident assessor/tutor who can engage learners creatively is essential. You must hold:

* Industry experience in Mechatronics
* Relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification (or higher)
* A1/V1 Assessors Award (or equivalent)
* Excellent IT skills
* Teaching qualification
* IQA Award (desirable)
* Legal right to work in the UK
