Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Development of co‑electrocatalysts using high‑throughput screening
Join the research group of Professor M. J. Rosseinsky OBE FRS at the University of Liverpool on a project funded by the Sustainable Chemicals and Materials Manufacturing Hub (SCHEMA), a partnership with Oxford, Liverpool, Bath, Cardiff, York and Cambridge, in collaboration with Ceres Power.
We are looking for an ambitious researcher to design, synthesize and evaluate co‑electrocatalysts for solid‑oxide electrolyser cells. You will develop new stable co‑electrocatalysts using high‑throughput synthesis and screening and assess their activity and selectivity towards methane or syngas.
Requirements: a PhD in chemistry or chemical engineering (or imminent award), a strong publication record, proactive approach and strong expertise in electrocatalyst synthesis, characterisation and testing.
Post duration: 12 months. If the PhD has not yet been awarded, the initial appointment will be at Grade 6, spine point 30; upon confirmation of the PhD, the salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
We are committed to enhancing workforce diversity. We actively seek to attract, develop, and retain colleagues with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
