In this role, you will be the point of contact for various functions in the SHOT, providing personal assistance to the Medical Director and SHOT Operations Manager, as well as administrative support to the SHOT team.
Main duties of the job
You will undertake administration and clerical duties supporting the Serious Hazards of Transfusion (SHOT) team. These duties typically include:
1. Providing comprehensive personal assistant services, direct office management, and administrative support to the SHOT Operations Manager and Medical Director.
2. Supporting all SHOT team members and working groups with administrative tasks.
3. Ensuring the smooth operation of the SHOT office and prioritising administrative duties.
4. Supporting SHOT events, such as the annual symposium and meetings with stakeholders.
5. Acting as a communication hub between the SHOT leadership and external agencies.
6. Collaborating with stakeholders to meet SHOT objectives.
7. Managing and communicating sensitive and confidential information through electronic, written, and verbal methods.
8. Negotiating with external providers for events and commitments on behalf of the SHOT leadership.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with demonstrable administrative experience.
* GCSE A*-C or equivalent, including English and Maths.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Experience
* Experience in an administration role, managing systems and tracking progress.
* Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality legislation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
