This strategic venture marks a significant step forward in our ambitious growth plans and reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class transmission components and systems to our customers.

About the Role

To work closely with business and functional leads managing agreed Direct materials supply category covering end to end Procurement process.

Day to Day

* To purchase agreed category of parts in line with current procurement policies and procedures.
* Day to day Purchase Order management including expediting timely supply of agreed parts.
* Supplier management and development with key objectives to improve Quality and Delivery performance from Suppliers.
* To create and complete strategic objectives aimed at reducing costs and improve operating efficiencies.
* Be the Purchasing lead for sourcing and managing of Xtrac’s spend against agreed category or suppliers.
* Build and develop strong internal & external relationships with key stakeholders and supply partners.

About You

* Proven experience in a directs procurement role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong Purchase order management / administration and using ERP/MRP systems.
* To carry out external & internal expediting, liaising with internal planners, business managers & suppliers.
* To provide Production planning input and support.
* Manage logistics of component/product supply agreeing appropriate/optimal Inco terms.
* To assist with and ensure timely resolution of technical manufacturing queries linked to purchase category responsible for.
* To work with quality team on any non-conformance issues linked to your area of supply / supplier responsibility.
* To participate in concurrent engineering with designers/suppliers to aid DFM and lead-time reductions.
* To liaise with Finance department to resolve invoicing queries.
* To carry out supplier performance management (Quality/Delivery/Cost).
* To carry out supplier selection and development.
* To identify and participate in costing saving exercises.
* To develop departmental strategies to improve operating efficiencies.
* To attend annual Personal Development Reviews (PDR).
* To support the Department Development Plans.
* To follow the company quality procedures.
* To always observe the Health and Safety rules.
