ROLE SUMMARY As Head of Marketingfor a financial regulated firm, you will lead on all marketing efforts, ensuring compliance with regulations and regulatory landscape, whilst understanding customer behaviours, driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention and revenue generation. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of marketing strategies by managing digital marketing initiatives, leading content creation across social media, videography and automation, driving measurable business growth through data-driven insights, budget management, stakeholder management and impactful team leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Create, implement and lead marketing strategies Establish clear marketing objectives that support with overall business growth. Design and implement marketing plans to target key customer segments. Work in collaboration with Business Development, Operations and Leadership team. Analyse marketing trends, customer insight & competitor strategies to refine strategies. Manage integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, & traditional channels. Utilise data driven insights to make logical business decisions, adjusting strategies as required to meet the needs of the business. Drive return on investment through marketing initiatives Set clear KPIs and performance objectives for all marketing initiatives. Conduct regular analysis of marketing activities to ensure their effectiveness, reporting to key stakeholders on performance. Manage budgets efficiently to ensure maximum output. Manage third parties to successful outputs. Enhance Brand positioning, awareness & client experience Build and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity across all channels. Create and implement brand strategies that resonate with target audiences. Ensure messaging is aligned with company values and market expectations. Collaborate with internal teams to maintain brand coherence in all communications. Measure brand awareness and perception, making data-driven adjustments as needed. Customer journey optimisation with a focus on good outcomes for clients. Lead and manage the Marketing department Create a collaborative, high performing culture within the team Delegate tasks effectively to leverage team strengths and optimise productivity. Oversee the selection and management of third-party agencies. Ensure agencies are aligned with brand guidelines and strategic goals. Monitor agency performance ensure value added activities are completed on time and within budget. Drive Continuous improvement throughout the department Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies. Incorporate new marketing techniques and tools to enhance campaigns. Promote continuous learning and development within the marketing team. Attend industry events, webinars, and training to stay current. Share insights and best practices across the organisation. Regulatory Compliance Ensure all marketing content, materials and communications are compliant with relevant regulations such as GDPR, Financial Promotions, Treating Customers Fairly, Vulnerable Customers and the Consumer Duty is embedded. Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant financial regulations and ensure all marketing activities comply. Ensure that robust systems are in place & maintained within the Marketing department with regards to client data, personal information and marketing opt outs. Work closely with the Compliance team to address any regulatory issues. Stay informed about regulatory changes and adapt marketing strategies accordingly. Ensure monthly Compliance training is completed by yourself and your direct reports. Good Outcomes for Customers; use feedback from quarterly NPS Net Promoter Surveys to further enhance client communications. SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Degree in marketing / related field, or qualified by experience Proven experience in a senior marketing role Strong background in digital marketing, social media and content creation Demonstrated ability to deliver ROI through marketing Excellent communication and relationship building skills Strong strategic thinker and leadership skills. Adaptable, flexible, and ability to work in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in marketing technologies & tools. Deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements. Knowledge of relevant regulations and FCA regulatory principles such as Treating Customers Fairly ( TCF) Consumer Duty, Financial Promotions and Vulnerable Customers.
