Senior Compliance Officer - Banking
I am currently working with a well-established bank seeking to appoint a Senior Compliance Officer to join its Second Line of Defence (2LOD) function.
This is a senior hands-on role within the Compliance team, offering the opportunity to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the bank's compliance framework, regulatory oversight, and risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contribute to the development of the compliance strategy, framework, and monitoring plan, ensuring alignment with key regulatory risks
2. Promote a strong compliance culture, embedding governance, risk management, and decision-making best practices
3. Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory matters, supporting business initiatives and projects with proportionate guidance and challenge
4. Lead horizon scanning and regulatory change initiatives, ensuring impacts are understood and effectively implemented
5. Oversee and contribute to the delivery of the compliance monitoring programme, including thematic reviews and assurance activities
