We are seeking a passionate and skilled Head of Nurture Faculty to join our team and make a real impact on the lives of students with additional needs.
About the Role
As Head of Nurture Faculty, you will take on a key leadership role within our SEN/SEND provision, ensuring that students receive the highest standards of care, education, and emotional support. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development while leading a team to deliver outstanding practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Nurture Faculty, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the department, including staff management, resource allocation, and student progress tracking.
* Deliver and monitor the Nurture Pathway curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Work closely with teaching staff to design engaging, inclusive, and differentiated learning experiences.
* Implement strategies to promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and social skills.
* Carry out class teacher responsibilities such as lesson planning, assessment, behaviour management, and parent communication.
What We're Looking For
* 3+ years teaching experience in SEN/SEND education or working with students with additional needs.
* Leadership experience
* Strong understanding of the curriculum and educational standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* QTS
* Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff alike.
* Skilled in classroom management and creating an inclusive learning environment.
* Experience and knowledge of using Makaton Visuals
* Confidence in using technology for teaching is an advantage.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
