Role Overview An opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to support a growing portfolio of advanced CNC and precision engineering equipment across the UK. The role will focus on delivering high-quality service, maintenance and technical support to customers, ensuring equipment reliability and performance standards are consistently met. This is a field-based position involving nationwide travel with occasional overnight stays. Key Duties Perform planned maintenance, inspections and technical upgrades on precision CNC equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on customer sites Respond to breakdowns and restore equipment to operational status within agreed timeframes Assist with machine installations, commissioning and refurbishment projects where required Complete service documentation and maintain accurate technical records Provide professional and responsive customer support Liaise with internal technical teams to resolve complex issues and maintain service standards Skills & Experience Required Engineering apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification Multi-skilled engineering background with strong mechanical knowledge Experience working on CNC machinery, precision equipment or other capital machinery within manufacturing environments Confident fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems Full UK driving licence Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently Flexible to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays Strong communication skills and a professional customer-facing manner Salary Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
