We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Head Chef to join our team in delivering a honest and seasonal menu. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a kitchen. As the Head Chef you will be responsible for all food operations from developing and bringing to life fresh, exciting menus to developing the confidence and skills of our kitchen team, we are looking for a true team player
Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
* Develop and implement creative menus.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting professional development and culinary skills whilst fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Manage inventory levels.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
* Monitor kitchen performance, implementing improvements where necessary to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. .
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations.
* Previous pub kitchen experience a bonus.
* Excellent leadership abilities with strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management.

Due to the rural nature of the pub, having own transport is advisable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
