We are looking for a dedicated HR Assistant to join our welcoming Admin Team at Garlinge Primary School and Nursery, where we have approximately 170 employees and approximately 720 pupils.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and efficient administrative assistant to join our school community.
In this role, the HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR Officer and Business Manager, including assisting with recruitment, staff absence processes, maintaining staff records and other HR tasks.
The successful candidate will need to be approachable, detail-orientated and able to handle confidential information with care. They will also need to be highly organised with strong communication skills.
Previous HR experience is desirable and office administration experience is essential.
The hours for the role are 37 hours per week, working 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on a Friday. The role is for 41 weeks per year (term time plus 5 INSET days and two weeks during the school holidays).
The pay scale is set at KSC (£25,252 for a full-time position) which equates to approximately £23,139 per annum pro rata for this role.
We require a good standard of general education and GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above are essential. A level 3 qualification (A‑level, BTEC, or equivalent) or business administration–related qualification is desirable.

There will be a thirty minute formal interview with the Head of School and Business Manager. Candidates will also undertake a thirty minute in-tray exercise.
