Overview

Join Our Team as a CAP Debt Centre Manager! Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Kendal and District Debt Centre, in partnership with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) and local churches, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Debt Centre Manager.

As a Debt Centre Manager, you will play a vital role in transforming lives by providing support and solutions to families struggling with debt.

Responsibilities

* Supporting Individuals, Couples & Families: Offering compassionate and practical assistance to people facing financial difficulties.
* Community Engagement: Building strong relationships within the community and raising awareness about the debt management services we offer.
* Recruiting Volunteers: Inspiring and leading a team of volunteers to help deliver our services.
* Sharing the Christian faith*: Explaining how your faith inspires and motivates you at work, and providing information, support, and signposting, where clients are interested in finding out more.

What We Offer

* A chance to make a difference: You’ll be connecting with people in great need, whose financial situation is having a hugely negative impact on their lives.
* Training and Support: We, and CAP, whom we partner with, provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to prepare you for your role, and to help you succeed. Note: Prior experience/training in financial matters is not required as all debt advice is provided directly by CAP.
* Competitive Salary: The full-time equivalent range for the role is £28,572 to £31,000 annually, depending on experience, pro-rated for 16 hours per week. We also offer a generous employer pension contribution and reimburse expenses.
* Flexible Working Arrangements: We’re supportive of working patterns that help serve both clients and you.
