Maintenance Engineer
Warwickshire | £40k+ | Mon–Fri, Days | 37.5 hrs/week

A forward-thinking and award-winning manufacturing business is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team at a 24/7 Industrial manufacturing facility in the middle of Warwickshire. You’ll play a vital role in keeping production moving through reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and continuous improvement.
This is a day-shift role, Monday to Friday, perfect for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and making a real difference on site.
The role:
* Respond to and resolve machinery breakdowns safely and efficiently
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the site schedule
* Diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical faults (roughly 60/40 split)
* Work on a range of equipment including extruders, shredders, washers, and wastewater systems
* Own your jobs from start to finish – including accurate reporting and handovers
* Support continuous improvement efforts across the plant
* Maintain excellent housekeeping and contribute to a strong safety culture
Candidate requirements:
* A recognised engineering qualification (electrical/mechanical)
* Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
* Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
* Good understanding of PPM practices
* Ability to read technical drawings (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLCs)
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a solid team ethic
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable but not essential:
* Time-served apprenticeship
* 18th Edition (NICEIC)
* Experience with inverters, FLT licence, or plastic extrusion equipment
* Familiarity with high automation / 24/7 manufacturing
