A fast-scaling digital product organisation is searching for a Senior Developer to take ownership of a major product workstream, lead technical delivery, and help shape the evolution of a modern, widely used SaaS platform.
This is a hands-on senior role where you’ll work across architecture, feature delivery, and mentoring, within a collaborative engineering team that values clean code, scalability, and product-focused thinking.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of new features.
* Owning a key product workstream, including technical architecture decisions.
* Partnering closely with product leadership to translate goals into scalable solutions.
* Writing clean, efficient code across PHP / Laravel APIs and a modern React front end.
* Mentoring mid-level and junior engineers through reviews and pairing.
* Promoting engineering best practices across CI / CD, testing, code quality, and documentation.
* Contributing to an open, supportive engineering culture.
Skills & Experience Required
* Strong commercial experience with PHP / Laravel and React.
* Solid knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (MySQL).
* Hands‑on experience with AWS, ideally including serverless tools (Lambda, API Gateway, Serverless Framework / Bref).
* Previous leadership or mentorship experience within an engineering team.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with product.
* A product‑focused mindset with an eye for simplicity, usability, and user value.
Highly Desirable
* Experience working in startups or scale‑ups.
* Exposure to React Native.
* Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and infrastructure‑as‑code.
* Understanding of application security best practices.

Location
Hybrid role – Exeter (1-3 days per week onsite).
