Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 0.8 WTE post within the Stroke/Neuro team in the Integrated Therapies department. The post holder will secure a short-term contract to work predominantly with stroke / neuro patients, and may support other teams as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide therapy intervention across the Stroke and Neuro wards, including weekend shifts on a rota basis as part of a 7‑day service.
* Run group sessions for in‑patients.
* Provide prescribed upper and lower limb exercises and opportunities to practice everyday tasks.
* Support other team members in ward and gym‑based treatment sessions, including kitchen and washing and dressing practice.
* Collect equipment from stores and trained orthotics.
* Support admin tasks such as photocopying and keeping workspaces clear and orderly.
* Assist with data collection and updating activity plans / team sheets.
* Provide basic cognitive rehabilitation and well‑being interventions.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working in the acute hospital setting with patients having physical and cognitive challenges.
* Strong, clear communication skills and ability to work well with others in a busy environment.
