Role Overview
Job Title: Export Shipping Coordinator
Location: Loughborough (On-site)
Pay Rate: £14.92 per hour (Salary equivalent: £28,118)
Contract Duration: 3 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Shift: Flexible start/finish times (e.g., 08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00)
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Working within the Export Customer Service Team, you will ensure our scientific products reach their global destinations efficiently and compliantly. Your duties will include:
Documentation: Preparing comprehensive shipping documentation for worldwide transit, including hazardous goods paperwork.
Compliance: Rigorously adhering to customs and export compliance regulations, including TPM and due diligence requirements.
Customer Support: Resolving verbal and written customer inquiries regarding shipping and administration.
Collaboration: Working closely with the Export Sales team to provide exceptional support for the EEMEA region.
Continuous Improvement: Participating in PPI (Practical Process Improvement) initiatives to identify cost savings and process enhancements.
What We Are Looking For
To excel in this role, you should possess a blend of technical shipping knowledge and strong administrative skills.
A proven history of export shipping skills within an active export environment.
Experience in organizing and prioritizing heavy workloads under pressure.
Strong self-motivation and clear communication skills (both written and verbal)
Regulations: A solid understanding of IATA/IMDG regulations with appropriate qualifications.
Education: Minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent (Science or English subjects are desirable).
Software: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Industry Experience: Previous experience in the scientific or laboratory industry is highly beneficial.
