We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Pharmacy Technician with an interest in Surgery for the opening of our new Elective Surgical Hub.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Pharmacist to provide a comprehensive ward‑based clinical service and the opportunity to obtain the fully funded Level 4 Clinical Diploma if not already attained, to increase clinical skills.
The role will include taking medicines histories and completing medicines reconciliation, carrying out therapeutic drug monitoring, making therapeutic interventions within scope of practice, supplying medicines, final checking of medicines and counselling patients.
In addition management responsibilities will include line management of junior staff, assisting with the day‑to‑day running of the service and monitoring performance of the service.
The role will also involve making continuous improvements to the service using innovative techniques to develop the technician role and integrating completely in the multi‑disciplinary team.
