In the heart of Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire an ‘good’ Secondary School are on the hunt for a Business and Economics Teacher to join them from April 2026. This is a permanent, and full-time contract. (Employed directly by the school)They are looking for a Business Studies and Economics Teacher that can teach across KS3 -KS5
The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Business and Economics Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding department. The school is renowned for their supportive SLT, and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.
Business & Economics has been running highly popular GCSE (9-1 Edexcel), A Level (AQA), Economics (Edexcel) and BTEC Level 3 courses for several years. All are a popular option within the school and see courses running successfully, with many students opting to continue with Business or Economics at University or in higher level apprenticeships.
The department is well established and popular option, currently the following groups run; KS4 Year 10 & Year 11 GCSE (3 classes in each year) Year 10 & Year 11 Retail Business BTEC (1 class in each year) KS5 Year 12 A Level Business and BTEC (1 class for each) Year 13 A Level Business and BTEC (1 class for each) Year 12 A Level Economics (1 class ) Year 13 A Level Economics (1 class).
The school are well invested into the Education sector setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. It’s an exciting time at the school!
Early Career Teacher of Business and Economics (ECT) will be enrolled onto the schools very own bespoke ECT induction, as well as work alongside a range of young & experienced teachers.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Must have QTS or QTLS
* Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
* Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a ‘Good or Outstanding’ level
* You must be able to work as part of a large team of Teachers
* Must be willing to listen to feedback
