Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Quantity Surveyor based in Whitstable. The Junior Quantity Surveyor will assist in preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and conducting cost analysis. Responsibilities include drafting Bills of Quantities (BOQ), supporting cost planning, and producing detailed cost reports. Collaboration with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate cost control and reporting throughout project lifecycles is also expected. Some travel to sites will be required.
Qualifications
* Skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to monitor expenditures and maintain project budgets
* Proficiency in BOQ preparation and Cost Planning to support accurate project forecasting and resource allocation
* Experience in Cost Reporting for detailed and clear communication of financial performance
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Understanding of construction processes and materials
* Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
* Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
* Relevant work experience in construction or quantity surveying is an advantage.
* Ability to maintain accurate project records and documentation.
* Experience of liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
