This client is an established and respected third-sector organisation based in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. They are currently experiencing a period of growth and additional project awards have necessitated the expansion of their procurement team. This is a brand-new role with a high degree of autonomy and variety suitable for someone who enjoys working on a few projects at once and experiencing something different every day.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid working policy.
Your new role
This organisation divides its procurement team into four categories: Labs, Estates, Professional Services, and IS. This role is not tied to one specific category, instead you will be assisting on projects within all four categories where needed.
Other duties include:
1. Engaging with key stakeholders in all sections of the organisation to implement and oversee procurement policies and ensure best practice is being followed.
2. Manage KPIs and supplier performance
3. Work closely with all operational and strategic procurement teams and assist on projects where needed
4. Aid the production and implementation of annual strategic procurement plans for the whole organisation
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
5. MCIPS qualification (or equivalent experience)
6. Extensive experience with public sector procurement regulations
7. Experience withplex projects and tenders within strategic procurement
8. Experience within a range of procurement categories
9. Right to work in the UK
