Area Manager (Street Services) – Eastleigh Borough Council
Location: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.
Join Us as an Area Manager – Help Shape the Services at the Heart of Our Community. Our Street Services Team keeps communities clean, safe, and thriving. Based in Hedge End, we deliver essential front-line services including street cleansing and waste operations.
We’re looking for an experienced and driven professional to lead these key service areas as our Area Manager.
Responsibilities
* Lead a large, multi-functional team in street cleansing or waste operations.
* Ensure residents receive the highest standards of service delivery.
* Develop, coach, and motivate staff to achieve excellence.
* Provide resilient, proactive operational management and leadership from the front.
Qualifications & Experience
* Significant experience in street cleansing or waste operational management.
* Proven track record of leading and motivating large teams.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and commit to high-quality public service.
* Confident, motivated, and capable of leading from the front.
Special Conditions of the Role
* Office and site-based position.
* Standard working hours: 37 hours per week (typically 05:30–13:30).
* Flexibility with occasional out-of-hours work, including some Saturdays after Bank Holidays and during the Christmas period.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £34,857 per annum.
