Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: Competitive Salary of £27,000 - £33,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire.

About The Role:
The company is seeking a Field Technician to join the Construction Materials Testing Division at their newly opened laboratory in Daventry. But, if you’re imagining working in a sterile environment with a white coat, this is not the laboratory role for you! They test ground and soil samples with the very latest technology to support their construction sector clients to find cost-effective solutions for their building projects.
This role will involve working out on site obtaining various soil and construction material samples and testing them in-situ. Consideration will be given to experienced field technicians. What they do need is for you to have a clean UK driving license and a desire to work outdoors in all weathers. This is a full-time job with excellent rates of pay and overtime (both in the week and over the weekend), and the opportunity to work in an exciting and growing sector along with excellent career opportunities.

Responsibilities Include:
On-site sampling and testing of various construction materials e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt Completion of test sheets and data entry onto tablets Liaising with senior members of staff on work schedules and testing procedures Working within in-house quality assurance systems Maintain high levels of health and safety in line with company policies
Candidate Requirements:
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent. Clean UK driving licence (Essential) You will need good communication skills - both written and verbal (Essential) Manual handling and physical activity are daily requirements – samples can weigh in excess of 15kg (Essential) You must be confident to work in a team environment (Essential) Self-motivated, proactive and able to organise your own workload (Essential) Previous experience in a UKAS accredited testing environment in a similar role (Desirable) Knowledge of testing standards and processes (Desirable) CSCS card (Desirable)
Company Benefits:
Salary is £27,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on the level of experience. Overtime is available after 40 hours and weekends at enhanced rates 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays Continual training and development Death in service scheme
