ROLE- Technical Design Engineer LOCATION- Andover TERM- Permanent SALARY- £40,000 - £60,000, dependent on experience My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment. They are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Andover on a permanent basis. The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: 3 years’ or more of experience in a similar Mechanical or Electrical Engineering position Ideally be experienced with HVAC, Systems or Building Services design Experience designing layouts and schematics would be beneficial Experienced using 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD Practical understanding of machinery, installation and commissioning Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication and welded parts Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Design, Engineering or similar Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient using MS Office Excellent organisational skills and time management skills Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team The Design Engineer role will involve: Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings Producing drawings, layouts, diagrams and schematics to bespoke requirements Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements Liaising with manufacturing p...
