PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £31,800 - £37,700 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Join the BBC Marketing team as a Growth Marketing Executive for BBC Sport helping to deliver innovative, data-informed campaigns that drive audience engagement and consumption across BBC platforms. You’ll work on high-profile content, contributing to the BBC’s ambition to grow reach and deepen relationships with audiences - particularly younger and digital-first cohorts.
As part of a collaborative team, you’ll support the development and execution of performance-focused marketing activity across digital channels, helping to optimise user journeys and drive measurable growth in BBC Sport consumption.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
* Lead the delivery of effective and impactful creative work that meets strategic growth objectives across media platforms.
* Develop campaign briefs with a focus on performance marketing, audience segmentation, and digital optimisation.
* Develop and implement audience strategies that drive product consumption.
* Collaborate with media and creative teams to ensure alignment with growth goals and audience behaviours.
* Assist in the development of lifecycle marketing activity and retention strategies, working closely with editorial and product teams.
* Monitor campaign performance using digital analytics tools and contribute to reporting and optimisation efforts.
* Ensure all marketing activity complies with BBC Editorial Guidelines and policies.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Experience delivering multi-media marketing campaigns from brief to evaluation, with a performance or digital focus.
* Strong project management skills and ability to use resources efficiently.
* Proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
* Experience working with creative and media teams, in-house or agency.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to use performance data to guide plans and optimise marketing activity.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
* Understanding of editorial and compliance policies.
* Knowledge of the broadcasting industry and interest in sport and digital content.
* Familiarity with CRM tools and audience segmentation strategies.
* Awareness of digital trends and ability to incorporate them into marketing plans.
* Familiarity with key digital media that drives product performance (e.g. social), ideally at an advertiser level (e.g. TikTok, Meta).
* Strong understanding of the 16–24-year-old audience and how best to engage/communicate with them.
