This is a permanent, full time vacancy that will close in a month at 23:59 BST.

Our Vacancy

We are actively seeking a Trainee Fibre Engineer to join our team, working on Fibre to the Home (FTTH) networks across the TriConnex fibre footprint. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on site experience in construction, utilities, or similar outdoor environments who is looking to start a career in fibre. Previous fibre experience is not required — full training and support will be provided.

The successful candidate must live in Bagshot & surrounding areas

So, what will I be doing?

Working as part of our team, you will be trained and supported in all aspects of fibre installation, from using hand tools safely to understanding fibre network builds. Over time, you will gain the skills needed to carry out fibre engineering tasks independently. You will also:

* Assist with the installation of fibre optic cables for indoor, outdoor, and underground builds on new developments.
* Learn how to use industry equipment for testing and troubleshooting fibre networks.
* Follow engineering plans and specifications under supervision, accurately recording materials used.
* Support the team in maintaining safe and tidy work sites.
* Develop knowledge of troubleshooting and repair techniques as part of your training.
* Work alongside experienced Fibre Engineers, Site Managers, and Technicians to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

The Person

To be considered as a Trainee Fibre Engineer, you should have experience of working with hand tools and in outdoor/site environments, ideally within construction or utilities. More importantly, you must be eager to learn and motivated to build a long-term career in fibre. We are also looking for:

* A strong work ethic — reliable, driven, and keen to learn new skills.
* A positive attitude towards health and safety.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Ideally a CSCS card (not essential).

If you are motivated, hardworking, and ready to start your career in fibre engineering, we would love to hear from you
