Principal Solutions Architect - Contract

About the Role:
A Glasgow based Financial Services Client is currently seeking a highly experienced Principal Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-level cloud and infrastructure solutions across a busy business area. This is a strategic, hands-on role ideal for an experienced senior architect with deep technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
* Lead architecture design across Azure, AWS, Salesforce, and SaaS platforms.
* Drive cloud-first strategies including IaaS, PaaS, and foundational services.
* Collaborate with global and regional teams to align deployments with enterprise standards.
* Represent infrastructure in solution design and governance forums.
* Produce detailed architecture documentation for implementation and operations.
* Communicate technical vision clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite
Requirements
1. Proven experience working as a Principal Architect or Senior Solutions Architect, supporting IT architecture and cloud transformation programs.
2. Deep expertise across at least 2 or more of the following - Cloud (Public/Private), Infrastructure, Networking, Security, SaaS, Virtualization, Storage.
3. Strong understanding of service integration, application architecture, and SaaS implementation.
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills is a MUST as always
