About the Company
Our client is a long‑established creative agency with over three decades of experience developing standout FMCG and retail packaging. They combine strategic thinking, design craft, and end‑to‑end artwork expertise to deliver high quality, commercially effective brand solutions for global and UK retailers.
The Role
This is a chance to take the creative helm, guiding and elevating an established in‑house team. You will define creative standards, modernise workflows, and set a benchmark for design excellence across multiple categories, with a strong focus on food and beverage packaging.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the creative vision across all brands, categories, and markets.
* Direct, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary design team.
* Ensure world‑class craft across packaging, branding, print, colour, repro, and artwork.
* Embed efficient, modern tools including AI to strengthen workflow and output quality.
* Present creative work to clients with confidence and clarity.
* Oversee recruitment, performance development, and team growth.
* Work closely with client service and production teams to keep work on brand, on brief, and on time.
* Attend client meetings, take briefings, and represent the creative function at senior leadership level.
About You
* Experienced senior creative leader with strong FMCG and packaging background.
* Exceptional food and beverage packaging portfolio.
* Skilled in design craft, storytelling, and strategic thinking.
* Hands‑on expertise in Photoshop, retouching, and design refinement.
* Confident presenting to major retailers and senior stakeholders.
* Highly organised, calm under pressure, and able to balance creativity with commercial needs.
* Strong leadership qualities with a passion for developing talent.
* Experience across both private and artisan labels, and big hitter brands.
* Knowledge of 3D, digital, or tech‑led design disciplines.
* Comfortable managing freelance creatives on high‑concept projects.
