We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Tower Hamlets that’s looking for a passionate Textiles teacher to join their Design & Technology department. This is a school that values creativity, practical learning, and giving students the confidence to express themselves, needle and thread in hand.
You’ll be teaching Textiles across KS3 and KS4, delivering hands-on, engaging lessons that inspire students of all abilities. The department is collaborative, well-resourced, and led by people who genuinely support their staff.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Teaching Textiles within the DT curriculum across KS3 and KS4
2. Planning and delivering creative, practical lessons
3. Supporting students to develop technical skills and creative confidence
4. Contributing to a positive, well-organised DT department
5. Getting involved in enrichment or extracurricular projects, if you’d like
What we’re looking for:
6. UK QTS (or working towards it)
7. A Textiles or DT specialist with a love for practical subjects
8. Confident classroom and behaviour management
9. A creative, patient, and encouraging approach
10. ECTs are very welcome, as are experienced teachers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
