About The Role
Painter and Decorator required for a unique role within vibrant care homes. This fixed-term role offers the right candidate with the correct skills the opportunity to make a difference to people living and working in our care homes. The role involves painting and decorating, minor preventative maintenance, and repairs, requiring an aptitude for problem-solving.
Key Tasks
1. Redecorate all areas in the homes on a rolling programme as directed by the maintenance supervisor and property manager.
2. Undertake minor maintenance and repair work associated with the home as required.
3. Work with the home manager and staff to plan and ensure safety during works.
Expectations
* Previous experience in painting and decorating in a commercial environment or relevant trade qualifications.
* Ability to work efficiently and safely around staff, residents, and visitors.
* Aptitude for property maintenance and minor repairs.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
* Full driving licence required for weekly travel between homes.
* Proficiency in computer use, including emails, Teams, WhatsApp, and internet access.
* Successful candidates will undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Additional Responsibilities
* Make temporary repairs and fixtures as needed.
* Install shelving, notice boards, and resecure handrails, handles, toilet seats.
* Replace light bulbs and perform typical maintenance activities.

We seek individuals with experience in commercial painting and decorating, a flair for property maintenance, and good communication and problem-solving skills. Confidence in computer use and a full driving licence are essential due to travel requirements.
