About the role
Elvet Recruitment is working with a consultancy based in Hull that is looking to add a Structural Engineer to their team.
Key Responsibilities
* Work on a diverse portfolio of bridge, civil, and marine structures, including both existing assets and new builds, across a range of materials and structural forms.
* Support early‑stage project development, including defining scope, coordinating surveys and inspections, and contributing to option selection and concept design.
* Deliver detailed design work, including structural analysis, modelling, calculations, and coordination of technical drawings.
* Carry out bridge inspections and monitoring in accordance with Local Authority standards.
* Undertake inspection and assessment of marine structures such as jetties, wharves, and related infrastructure.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Minimum 4 years of experience working within a design office on bridge schemes, covering steelwork and concrete/masonry.
* Live locally in Hull or be able to relocate.
* Experience with MIDAS is beneficial.
Remuneration
* Salary up to £65,000 (depending on experience).
* 25 days holiday (increasing with service).
