About us

The Partnership Link Worker role ( PLW)is part of the Early Help Support Team within the Early Help division.

As part of the development of the Family First Pathfinder Wave 2 we are looking to recruit a Partnership Link worker to the Early Help Support team.

This is a fixed term role for 12 months from the date of appointment to the role.

It is recognised in the Working Together to Safeguard children 2023 that all agencies hold the responsibility for offering Early Help Support, resulting in more support and training being requested from partners to support families with a multiagency plan of support at Universal Plus ( Level 2 )

The role

Are you looking to develop and expand your own experience and skills to support families?

Would you like to work in the community with multiagency partners to support them with the Early Help processes and awareness of Early Help Support ?

Would you like to develop relationships with partners in Warrington?

Would you like to be part of a team delivering Early Help training and support to our partner agencies?

Would you like to support more families earlier to enable them to reach better outcomes?

The PLW’s offer support and guidance with the Early Help processes to all our partner agencies.

The PLWs don’t case hold families they support the completion of Early Help Assessment and Team Around the Family meetings.

Our Early Help partners include health, education, early years and voluntary agencies and this is expanding.

The PLW’s support all WBC internal teams, including adult services and work closely with WBC Education teams.

The PLWs are integrated into the Family Hubs and work alongside WBC staff and the partners agencies.

They attend and support with various drop ins and events to raise awareness of Early Help.

This role is a full time ( 37 hours)

The role is an opportunity for you to be creative with your skills to engage partners and build relationships.

It is an opportunity to gain valuable skills and awareness of support in Warrington

What's needed?

Significant experience of working with children, young people and families in a variety of settings including the family home.

Experience of challenging professionals and partners to meet the needs of the whole family.

Experience of working within a multi-agency environment and liaising with staff from a wide variety of partner services.

Experience in the use of appropriate safeguarding practices in relation to children, young people and adults

Ability to build positive working relationships with a variety of individuals (including children, young people, families, colleagues, external partners and other key stakeholders).

Ability to communicate effectively and diversely with families and professionals from a wide range of voluntary and statutory agencies.

Ability to work under own initiative.

Ability to model whole family working practice to professionals, colleagues and partners.

Ability to maintain appropriate written records of interventions.

Ability to be persistent, assertive and constructively challenging regarding the behaviour and actions of children, young people and families

Ability to think creatively in order to support the best possible outcomes for children, young people and families

Ability to be persistent, assertive and constructively challenging to partners working with families to ensure whole family outcomes are achieved

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

DBS clearance is required.
