A dynamic business based in Hull is currently looking for an Interim Accounts Payable Manager to join their finance team on a contract basis. On offer is a salary of £32,500, hybrid working (typically 2–3 days in the office), and the chance to step into a hands-on, value-adding role within a supportive team.
As an Interim Accounts Payable Manager, you will be:
* Leading and managing the accounts payable function to ensure accurate and timely payments
* Overseeing a small AP team, providing guidance and performance support
* Handling supplier reconciliations and managing resolution of invoice disputes
* Acting as the key point of contact for internal teams and external suppliers
* Supporting the month-end close process and assisting with financial reporting
* Reviewing systems and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement
* Maintaining compliance with internal controls and company policies
To be successful in this Interim Accounts Payable Manager role, you will ideally have:
* Demonstrated experience in managing or leading accounts payable operations
* Good working knowledge of finance systems and Excel
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A process-driven mindset with a focus on accuracy and deadlines
* Availability to start at short notice
