About Us
Horsley Lodge Estate is a well established golf club, hotel and restaurant with a reputation for quality, consistency and great hospitality. Our kitchen serves members, hotel guests, weddings and events as well as restaurant diners and we take pride in offering food that is both creative and reliable.
We are now looking for an experienced Head Chef to take charge of our kitchen and lead the team with confidence.
The Role
This is a hands on position where you'll be expected to set the standards, manage the day to day operations and drive the food offering forward. You will be responsible for both the creative side of the kitchen and the commercial performance, ensuring that we deliver excellent food and maintain strong cost control.
What We're Looking For
* Proven success as a Head Chef
* A strong leader who can build, motivate and manage a team
* A good grasp of costings, GP margins, stock management and kitchen budgets
* Experience in designing and delivering menus that are seasonal, creative and commercially successful
* Organised, calm under pressure and able to communicate well with front of house and management
* Up to date knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the kitchen team and set high standards of food and service
* Plan and deliver menus using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
* Control costs and maintain agreed GP margins
* Manage rotas, recruitment, training and performance within the kitchen
* Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
* Ensure smooth service across restaurant, weddings and events
