Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Retail Assistant to join our team working at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall, York, YO32 5SW.
You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating tills, checking stock, restocking goods, arranging merchandise displays, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a clean and tidy workspace.

You must have resided in the UK for the past 3 years, have a legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

* This is a part-time position, 16 or 20 hours per week, (shift pattern Monday to Friday) Shifts range between 07:45 and 23:15.

A day in the life of a Retail Assistant:
* Serving customers in a small unit and using a Costa push button machine, cash handling and operating tills.
* Receiving and putting out deliveries, restocking goods and ensuring attractive displays of merchandise.
* Serving drinks in evening bar.
* Cleaning front and back of house areas, keeping shop and stock rooms tidy, wiping tables, sweeping and mopping floors.
* Reporting to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified in the workplace.
* Following food hygiene and safety procedures in line with health and safety requirements.
You will be set up for success if you have:
* Resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have a legal right to work
* Are able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
* Are 18 due to serving alcohol.
* Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full on the job training will be provided.
* Customer service experience desirable.
* Must be personable and able to talk to customers.
