Job Purpose Location: Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Leeds office. Salary: £ 42,000 - £50,000 per annum Deadline to Apply: Tuesday 10th February 2026. Early submission is encouraged, and applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. We are recruiting for a Senior Analyst in our Financial Planning and Analysis team. In this role you will provide high quality, accurate and timely financial planning and analysis and reporting for the NWF by developing and maintaining financial models. This includes driving continuous improvement in the accuracy and quality of outputs produced by the Financial Planning & Analysis team through effective challenge and the development of innovative modelling and process solutions, as well as working with stakeholders, internal and external in order to communicate and enhance financial information. Key Accountabilities Financial planning & analysis Support NWF’s financial forecasting by applying extensive experience in Balance Sheet and P&L modelling. Analyse results against the fund’s business plan and current performance. Ensure internal stakeholders clearly understand the fund’s financial position. Build, review and enhance financial models by drawing on existing knowledge and deepening understanding of current systems to improve the quality and accuracy of planning and analysis. Work flexibly across the Finance function and the Fund to support a range of projects and promote a proactive, collaborative environment Process Improvement & Systems Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, modelling, and reporting by understanding and optimising current systems, including Adaptive planning and Power BI. Identify efficient and innovative solutions as NWF faces new challenges and evolving stakeholder requirements. Stakeholder Engagement Undertake financial reviews and present findings to stakeholders with clarity and confidence. Work with stakeholders to develop business plans and financial forecasts, providing challenge where appropriate. Provide understandable explanations of variances for management accounts and KPIs. Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by leading discussions on results and translating financial data into actionable insights. Produce ad-hoc analysis to satisfy stakeholder requests in a timely manner. Financial accounting & reporting Deliver month‑end tasks in line with agreed timelines to support timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Prepare accurate month end accruals based on analysis and information from stakeholders. Produce financial reporting in line with accounting standards and best practice from other financial institutions. Produce timely reporting to analyse performance trends, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Knowledge, Skill and Experience requirements Essential Qualifications: A degree at 2.2 or above, or an MSc, in a highly numerate subject (or ‘in a subject with a significant quantitative element’), or relevant demonstrable experience. CCAB (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) newly qualified / part qualified Essential Experience and Technical Skills: Behavioural Willingness to learn and develop. Collaborative mindset, supporting colleagues with tasks and priorities. Results-oriented, organised, can prioritise effectively and multi-task to deliver results in a fast-paced work environment. Technical Excel and financial modelling. Financial reporting using Excel and PowerPoint (PowerBI desirable). Workday and adaptive planning (desirable). IFRS knowledge (with a focus on financial instruments related standards Experience Experience in financial planning, analysis, business planning/forecasting and reporting. Experience of simplifying complex financial information. Experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders.
