Our client is a leader in the Design and Manufacturing of bespoke valves for a variety of industries and they are looking for a CNC Operator to join their team!Roles and Responsibilities:Operate one or more CNC machines in the CellComplete a 'machine health check list' dailyResponsible for documenting and tracking in the CellStamp off your own workReport NCR's (Non-Conformance Reports)Converse with the Production Team Leader and assist with other duties when neededMaintain a safe and tidy work environmentPartake in training when requiredMinimise the level of scrap componentsMentor and support new staff or apprenticesEstablish key delivery dates/requirements with the Production Team Leader and Production ManagerLiaise with the Production Team Leader and communicate workshop issues to the CNC Setter / Charge Hand'sIdeal Candidate: Experience operating CNC Milling Machines Previously used Fanuc controlsEngineering qualification preferably craft apprenticeship or equivalentBasic CNC programming and machine competenceGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to be able to read and understand engineering drawingsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAbility to deal with problems involving several variables in standardised situationsWorking Hours:37.5 hours on a double day shift (shift allowance included)Earlies: Monday to Thursday: 06:00am - 14:00pm and Friday: 06:00am - 11:00amLates: Monday to Thursday: 14:00pm - 22:00pm and Friday: 11:30am - 17:00pmJackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.We strive to provide the ultimate consultancy service to all our candidates.
