Our Leisure Club Assistants support in providing a successful Health & Fitness offering to members and guests, promoting and supporting behavioural change in achieving fitness goals and the benefits of healthy living. The role reports directly to the Leisure Club Manager and is part of a team based at our hotel in Ipswich.
Leisure Club Assistant responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring the club is always presented in the appropriate condition, ensuring the correct daily, weekly, and monthly checks are completed.
2. Achieving new member sales, renewals, and net membership growth metrics.
3. Supporting the Club Management Team in relation to local marketing initiatives to drive new member sales, membership headcount, and the club's position in the community.
4. Always demonstrating a pro-active approach to Health & Safety and supporting the Club Management Team regarding the Sustainable Safety Group (SSG) audit.
5. Undertaking cash handling duties and submitting to hotel finance.

What you’ll bring to the team
This role is ideal for someone looking to demonstrate their skills and develop their career—someone with some experience in the leisure/fitness/spa wellness industry, though this is not essential.
The ideal candidate may have one or more of the following qualifications:
* Pool Water Safety Qualification of Pool Responder
* First Aid at Work Qualification
* CIMSPA fitness professional qualification of Level 2 or above
* Health & Fitness / Leisure Industry Qualification of Level 3 or above
