New Equipment Sales
South East UK - reading would be a good location for the candidate to be based.


Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated New Equipment Sales professional to join the team in the South East. The ideal candidate will be commission motivated and have a field sales background, comfortable meeting potential customers and generating revenue via new business sales.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Proactively identify, respond to, and win new equipment projects to include; identifying bid opportunities, preparing bid responses, creating presentations, negotiating with potential customers

2. Building and maintain relationships with new and existing customers

3. Evaluate project details and provide recommendations on best available solutions

4. Sell new equipment contracts at required price and margin levels to obtain new unit agreements

5. Ability to learn and then communicate to customers product knowledge of all elevator/escalator lines and specialized architectural product knowledge

6. Read and interpret architectural drawings

7. Visit job sites to determine scope of prospective job or to check on the status of a current job

Education / Certifications

8. Bachelor’s Degree required

Basic Qualifications

9. 3+ years of sales experience required

10. Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment

11. Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers

12. Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities

13. Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software

14. Outstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

15. Elevator or construction/manufacturing/engineering sales industry experience preferred
