We are seeking a proactive and experienced administrator to provide effective administrative support to the Governing Body and Leadership Team at Luckley House School.
The Board of Governors, in collaboration with the School’s Leadership Team, oversees the well-being of the School. They make or approve strategic and financial decisions, plan for the School’s development, and monitor its finances. Governors act as both directors and trustees of Luckley House School Ltd and are legally responsible for ensuring the School meets its charitable objectives, serves the public benefit, and operates within the framework of a limited company.
The role involves providing effective administrative support to the Clerk to the Governors, which includes the administration and minute taking of all Governing Body meetings. Other tasks include maintaining membership and attendance records and ensuring that the governors training is kept up to date. In addition, the role also involves providing administrative support to the Leadership Team, as and when required, and providing support in the School office one day a week and in the absence of the School Secretary.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as an administrator at a senior level and excellent written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. They will have a proactive attitude and the ability to use their own initiative and will be able to be discreet and maintain confidentiality. Previous experience of organising meetings and taking minutes is essential.
Hours of work:
35 hours per week, 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year.
A flexible approach to working hours and duties is essential as some meetings take place in the evenings and at weekends.
