West Locality Family Safeguarding Team Manager – Ref: CH07025.
Salary Scale: £55,662 – £59,490 (G12).

The Team Manager will lead the West Locality Social Work team, ensuring the delivery of outstanding support for children and families and embedding a learning organisation culture.
Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and develop the social work team, ensuring responsive services that safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and families.
* Work with senior practitioners, social workers, NQSWs and trainee social workers to provide high‑quality support.
* Make highly complex decisions regarding social service provision for children and families.
* Actively promote and contribute to the strategic development of children’s services in Walsall, working with a restorative approach.
* Provide guidance, supervision and professional development to staff.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, guidance and local policy and procedures.
Requirements
* Experienced social worker with a proven track record of safeguarding practice.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one). Users with overseas experience may need an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate.
* Ability to make complex decisions in line with statutory guidance.
* Strong communication skills, able to convey information in accurate spoken English.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
