RETAIL & CENTRAL ANALYST | HIGH WYCOMBE We're looking for a fabulous Analyst to join our Finance team and play a key role in overseeing fixed and variable retail costs maintaining high standards of accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and forecasting. You'll partner with department managers, providing robust cost reviews and insight to aid in the business' decision-making. This role is ideal if you are looking to start or develop your career in finance in a role that is great for building your technical core accounting skills. WHAT YOU'LL DO Accountable for the day-to-day management of key business costs, as well as responsibility for preparing monthly payments, accruals, and subsequent journal postings. Deliver the month end P&L for your areas of responsibility, providing meaningful variance analysis to budget, forecast and last year. Deliver the annual budget and quarterly forecasts including reviewing and challenging relevant budget holders. Develop strong relationships with the internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of robust cost and revenue monthly. You'll also business partner with allocated Area Managers, providing support to Store Managers in understanding financials and KPIs and enhance store performance. Leveraging and expanding upon your expertise, this role will be integral to our Finance transformation strategy. WHAT YOU'LL BRING A desire to learn new skills and work towards change driving efficiencies and improvements. You'll have graduated with a 2:1 or higher in Accounting and Finance, Business, Maths or a related degree with a keen interest in study. Working towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualification or are interested in studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA. Strong numerical and analytical skills, as well as good communications skills both written and verbal.
