Domestic Assistant – Healthcare Location: Hereford County Hospital Hours: 15 hours per week Pay: £12.92 per hour Asa Domestic Assistant at Sodexo, based at Hereford County Hospital, you play avital role in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for patients,staff and visitors. Your work directly supports patient well being and helpsensure high standards of care are delivered across the hospital. Thisrole is ideal for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, works well as part ofa team, and understands the importance of safety and hygiene in a healthcaresetting. What You’ll Do Carry out cleaning duties across wards and departments to meet required standards and schedules Clean floors, furniture, bathrooms, and patient areas including beds and high-touch surfaces Safely handle and dispose of waste, including clinical and domestic materials Use cleaning equipment and materials correctly, following COSHH and safety procedures Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels and toiletries Follow infection control procedures and respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests when needed Work safely at all times, using PPE and following health & safety guidance Interact politely and professionally with patients, visitors and staff while maintaining confidentiality What You Bring A strong focus on cleanliness, hygiene and attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and work to set procedures Good communication and customer service skills A positive, reliable and team-oriented approach Empathy and confidence when interacting with patients and visitors Ability to work safely in a healthcare environment Basic literacy and understanding of workplace safety What We Offer Full training and protective uniform.
