Your new role
This is a hybrid role based at our Golborne Support Centre, with 2-3 days a week onsite.
The Finance Analyst will be a key member of the Sofology Commercial Finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner. The Commercial Finance function sits at the heart of the business, driving change and providing critical insight to support strategic and operational role is ideal for a motivated, analytical and agile problem-solver with aspirations to progress into a Finance Business Partner role and achieve professional accountancy qualification. The successful candidate will be a graduate or studying towards AAT Level 2 position offers excellent mentoring and development opportunities, with a clear pathway to becoming fully qualified within 34 years.
What you'll be doing
In this role, youll:
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Produce and maintain key weekly performance reports, with a primary focus on Retail and Online channels
Support the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, working closely with the management team to monitor performance
Assist in the production of monthly P&L review packs, including commentary on material variances
Partner with the Retail, Customer Service and Commercial Product teams by delivering clear,insightful ad-hoc reporting to support decision-making and business improvement
Calculate and validate monthly bonus payments for the Retail and Customer Services teams
Undertake ad-hoc analysis and tasks appropriate to the role, providing wider reporting support across the business

Capabilities Required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation and drive continuous process and efficiency improvements
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities effectively
Pragmatic and commercially minded, demonstrating strong business awareness
Sound financial modelling capability
Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to analyse and manipulate large volumes of data efficiently
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets
Proactive self-starter with a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently
Experience / Qualifications
Finance experience with a preference for experience gained in a commercial finance environment
AAT level 3 or Commencing ACCA or CIMA
Strong spreadsheet skills, with experience of working with Google Sheets & Power BI also advantageous
