Gemini Worktops is a rapidly growing family-owned business. Due to continued and significant growth, we are now looking for an experienced, professional and reliable Sales leader to join the team near York.

In this rewarding and challenging role you will be responsible for turning the strategic, commercial intention of the organisation into deliverable plans and actions, with a focus on scalability, delivery and the achievement of sales objectives in what can be a competitive and dynamic segment of the home improvement market.

Head of Sales - Full Time - Permanent - up to £75k plus bonus (£20k to £80K) plus car allowance

In this high impact post you will take the lead in growing and sustaining a high performance culture within our sales operation, whilst ensuring that strategic goals are turned into impactful plans and actions that drive growth. You will consider yourself to be someone who can think big as well as see the finer details, lead through enthusiasm and positivity and deliver results with teamwork, collaboration and exceptional planning.

The Role

Strategic Alignment & Execution

* Partner with the Sales & Marketing Director to deliver the commercial and customer strategy across the sales function.
* Translate strategic priorities into clear sales plans, targets, and execution frameworks.
* Ensure sales activity, behaviours, and incentives are fully aligned with agreed growth objectives.
* Provide feedback and insight from the sales function to inform ongoing strategic refinement.

Revenue Delivery & Sales Performance

* Drive consistent execution of the sales strategy to maximise conversion.
* Identify risks and opportunities within the pipeline and implement corrective actions where required.
* Ensure predictable and scalable sales performance through robust planning and control.

Sales Leadership & Capability Development

* Lead, develop, and motivate 2x Sales Managers and a high-performing sales team.
* Embed a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Build leadership capability and succession within the sales team to support future growth.
* Own the execution of the end-to-end sales journey, ensuring a seamless, customer-centric experience.
* Ensure consistent adherence to sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM best practice.
* Champion customer insight to improve sales effectiveness and experience.

Data, Insight & Reporting

* Deliver accurate performance reporting, and commercial insight to the Sales & Marketing Director.
* Use data to optimise sales performance, productivity, and decision-making.
* Ensure CRM systems provide clear visibility of pipeline, and conversion.
* Track and report against agreed success measures and growth KPIs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with Marketing to ensure lead quality and conversion are optimised.
* Collaborate with Operations and Production to align sales commitments with capacity standards.
* Act as a key contributor to wider commercial planning and growth initiatives.


Skills, Experience & Attributes

* Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role with accountability for revenue delivery.
* Strong ability to execute strategy within a structured commercial framework.
* Experience leading and scaling sales teams in a growth-focused environment.
* High level of commercial and analytical capability.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Strong CRM and sales process expertise.

Preferred

* Experience in kitchens, furniture, interiors, or related retail sectors.
* Experience working in partnership with a Sales & Marketing Director or similar senior commercial leader.
* Exposure to direct-to-consumer or multi-channel sales models.
