THE ROLE
Sontex Machinery Ltd, based in West Yorkshire, is seeking a Service Engineer who will ensure optimum customer satisfaction by providing first-class electrical and mechanical support.
Repairing and refurbishing our range of packaging equipment and enhancing strong relationships with our growing customer base.
This is a full-time position. Salary dependent upon experience.
Nationwide travel is an essential part of this role. Applicants would be ideally located within 25 miles of our office in Cleckheaton.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Substantial experience in electrical, electronic and mechanical disciplines is essential.
* With an understanding and ability to fault diagnose problems with our wide range of packaging machinery is a must.
* Familiarity with machines; electrical parts; components and assembly are an essential part of this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Being able to control situations whilst providing a high standard of customer service and having a flexible approach to work.
* Installation; commissioning; repairing and servicing, our full range of packaging machinery at customer premises around the country.
* Carrying out training programs at customer premises.
* This role may involve loading products into machines, monitoring the packaging process when testing, troubleshooting or repairing any malfunction.
* Contacting customers from our office, to organise your weekly working schedule to best utilise time efficiency.
* When on site, assisting customers with spare part enquiries, orders, and technical queries.
MUST HAVES
* Have a good basic geographical knowledge of UK locations.
* UK full clean driving license
* Occasional overnight ‘stop-overs’ will be required
